It has been such a beautiful spring and since we’ve been spending so much time at home I decided to really focus my attention to our back patio. The previous owners redid it all 10 or 15 years ago, I think, they extended it and added the covered part. It’s so nice but up until now everything was thrown out there haphazardly and nothing was planned or intentional. Let me show you what we’ve got and show you where I’m going with it.
I bought the table on facebook marketplace when we moved in. The chairs were in our dining room at our last house. They’re great but with the higher set arms, they don’t tuck under the table. It’s a big patio but it would still feel nice to have a little more space to move around. I sold the chairs and am waiting on some that will push completely under the table.
See the pool in the pic above? Since we’ll be home a lot more this summer, we used part of our patio for this very blue 10′ swimming pool. Click here for the pool. On Instagram I get lots of questions about it. We bought this cover. We bought this water test kit and we’re treating it with bleach. It’s still pretty chilly but it’s going to be great this summer. It stays shady, isn’t killing our grass because it’s on the patio and we’ll all enjoy it all summer long.
It’s good. It could just use a little character. Here’s what I have planned:
