Happy March! We’ve had pretty mild weather followed by freezing temps and I’m not a fan. Speaking of fans…..I didn’t plan that but now we’re here and it works. Sorry. I see people on design shows talk about what an eye-sore ceiling fans are but let me just tell you, it gets too hot here in Texas and fans are a must. Plus, they don’t have to be an eye sore. There are plenty of great, affordable modern ceiling fans to choose from so today I’ve done a round up of some of my favorite modern ceiling fans.*this post contains affiliate links in the image at the end of this post.

My hubby likes lamp lighting so we dont have any fans with light kits. I’m thinking I might get one with a light in my office at some point so I picked a couple of each.. (shopping tip: if there’s a style you like, check because they might have both options.)
These fans are all 52″. It’s important that you choose the right size for your room. A shrimpy or giant looking fan can make the proportions of you room look wrong. I found this chart for you from lampsplus.com
This fan in our living room looks fine but actually might be a little small. It’s a 52″ and the room could probably use a 60″ but we’re also working with lower ceilings in here so I’m not sure if a bigger fan would overpower the space. If we do go bigger someday we can more this beauty to another room. We’ve got a WHOOOOOLE house of old ceiling fans.

One more thing. Before we removed the old ceiling fan in the
living room, I wasn’t sure anyone would want it but I took a shot of it
and listed it on marketplace for $10. The man that bought it was so
thankful to have a fan to take to his family in Mexico! Win, win! You
just never know and it’s a nice little percentage off you new fan
purchase.
