Hope your Labor Day was great! We enjoyed the long weekend at home. I started on a few projects I’ll share here soon. The girls made messes. And thanks to the hubs, the yard looks wonderful. It’s still hot here but just the fact that we’re entering in to fall, makes my heart happy. It’s, by far, my favorite time of year. Jeans, cardigans, football, chili…..the list goes on and on. Happy momma.
Enough about glorious fall. I’ve shown you our master bathroom and talked about the choices we made when we underwent the renovation. We love the space but I had been craving color in there for a while. I felt like the room was too pretty for the rest of our house. I’m not saying the rest of our house isn’t pretty but the rest of our house is thrifted and more pulled together and the bathroom was more polished looking and polished looking isn’t as much my thing. Does that make sense?
I had had my eye on this beaut from RugsUSA for a while. I love the bright pops of color with the vintage look. $60 is such a great price, plus I knew I’d use it somewhere else if it didn’t work in the bathroom. Determined.
I am a rug hoarder and I am constantly justifying the “need” for new rugs. Like here. And here. I JUST LOVE THEM! I wouldn’t spend $60 on really ANYTHING else. Scratch that too. I actually just bought one of these. What has gotten into me?! Turning over a new leaf. (once)
So what do you think? I love it! It’s still light and bright but now just has a bit more personality. Exactly what I wanted. I kept the same towels that we love and moved the hand towels in from the girls bathroom makeover. Those are actually dyed with RIT dye. Remember, I love that stuff too. At some point, I might replace those hand towels with these.

Turkish towels are so soft and have tassels so need I say more?
I got the Zz plant from IKEA. $8. My mom said she found same size at a nursery for $30. No, no…ain’t nobody got time for that. I stuck it in a thrifted basket and I think they are great for this room that doesn’t get much bright light. The bamboo candle holder was thrifted and painted white after the mister said it was a no-go in its original 70’s brown. We’ll see if this makes the cut…
For the glass front cabinet, I added a few red boxes that we already had elsewhere in the house. It just gives this space a little extra to look at.
I’m so happy with the added punch of color in here. It was $60 well spent. They definitely have two different looks and made for a pretty dramatic difference.
Thanks for reading, friends.

Thanks lady! I love how it looks in there. Plus it's so soft 😘
Can you share the colors in this rug? I am looking for a runner to compliment a navy/coral/turquoise decor. Thanks, Debra
Sure Debra! It's got orange, pink, red, maybe a tiny bit of a light sage green, and navy. It's so pretty and so soft! Let me know what you decide!
