Happy November! It’s time for another Global Styler with Corrina from a Designer at Home, Stephanie from Casa Watkins Living, and Kathy from Up to Date Interiors. This month we’re talking about hostess gifts. The holidays are coming up soon and I’m guessing there are quite a few get-togethers in your near future.
Today, I want to share with you a quick, 10 minute (because I’m rounding up) hostess gift that would be so cute to give at any dinner, party, girls night, or as a birthday or Christmas present.
From there, I cut fringe in the suede and left an inch of uncut fabric at the top.
I tightly folded the edge of the suede in on itself and wound it up into a large roll.
With a few inches of rolling left, I stuck in one edge of a scrap piece I cut and hot glued it into place for a loop for hanging it.
When the suede was all wrapped up, I just used a bit of hot glue to finish off the roll.
I made a few and have them hanging from our front door knob, lamp harps and one from the wall. So cute and boho.
Now for the wine part:
I used a hand-towel I already had but if you’re giving this as a gift, don’t do that. Here are a few pretty Turkish towels to pick from. Affiliate links. 1,2,3
You can never have too many kitchen towels so it’s nice to get cute and unique ones as a gift. I always look for them at TJMaxx and Marshalls too.
There’s no science to how I wrapped it. I did try to fold in the
edges so that you couldn’t see the bottle or the edges of the towel.
Once all the edges were together at the neck of the bottle I added the tassel and tied it all on with a little piece of twine.
I love how it turned out! Depending on what wine you pick, I’m not fancy when it comes to wine, this gift could be under $10.
Since you know the holidays are coming up anyway, you could have a set of hand towels and some wine on hand to make a last minute gift whenever the need should arise. That would be a great way to take some stress off the holidays.

This is such, such, such, an innovative idea. All from a thrifted skirt- that's too cool! I always love seeing a kitchen towel used as wrapping paper. I've gotta do it with a bottle this season <3
Yay! Thanks Corrina. I just recently realized I should be looking for clothes when I'm looking for cool fabric. Coats and skirts can go a long way!
Love the Turkish towel and leather tassel! Tassels are always okay in my book! lol
Me too!! Tassels for the win! Thanks, Kathy.
