Whats better than a quick room makeover? A FREE ONE! Let me quickly run you through the things I wanted changed and then I’ll go enjoy Easter weekend with the fam.
Our entry way can be very dark. The red door, our dark stained floors and a wall blocking a big source of natural light all lend to constant shadows and while it might not even be noticed by anyone else, it bugs me. The mirror was moved in here from our pre-renovation bathroom and it helps bounce the light a little. I painted the console table white a couple years ago, to do the same thing and it always helps for a while but then I get antsy about it again and again…
I mentioned here that this amazing 100+ year old rug was my great grandmother’s, Nana. It’s great and it’s going nowhere. The console table is never leaving either. It’s the perfect size for this space length and width wise BUT I did get a good idea to make it a little more useful. You’ll see. YOU’LL ALL SEE! Ah, looking at this before makes me so excited to show you the after!
A month or so ago, I began pinning entry way inspiration. Here is the space that inspired me the most. I love the crisp white with the dark door and oriental rug! Seeing the common link here?!
