Hello yall!! Thank you so much for all of your kind words about the reading room last week. If you missed that reveal go see it here. Since I haven’t done one in a while, I thought I’d do a quick round up of the things I’m loving lately. **this post contains affiliate links.
A couple weeks ago on Instagram I posted about Wayfair’s ‘Way Day’ sale and bought a couple things for the house.
I had been looking for a floor lamp for this corner for a while. I’ve since moved it up onto the hearth so that we could see it better and so that the light would cast higher. Also, the books are now all in the book room. I ended up with the Acton Floor Lamp from Wayfair.
TIP: When you’re looking for a light to brighten a space, look for something that will diffuse the light and not point the light in one direction. This plastic (not glass, luckily) globe helps to light the whole corner by our fireplace. A lighter color lamp shade will do that too. Something with a metal shade is great for task lighting but not for brightening a room. Does that make sense? Moving on.
I got this outdoor patio set for our front yard. It’s woven wicker looking plastic. It’s a great weight and the chairs are very comfortable. Click here for our exterior makeover.
The color is called ‘sparkle grey’ it’s not sparkly and its hardly even grey. It the best matte almost black. They look way more expensive than they are. Clicked together and look great.
I recently got the ‘tomgirl’ jeans from American Eagle. They’re more of a relaxed fit and I loved the distressing but they have some in the same style without the holes. Plus, I was able to size down. I know it’s the fit that matters but isn’t that a fun treat when it happens?
I got this bathing suit on Amazon at the prompting of Cassie from Hi Sugarplum. It’s so cute! It’s true to size and offers enough coverage to make me feel comfortable at the city pool with my girls. It also motivated me to be a little more mindful of the food I’ve been shoving into my mouth. Just saying..
One more thing. These sandals from Time and Tru at WALMART are $7 and I have loved them!
That’s it for this week. The school year is wrapping up and it’s gonna be real hectic over here for a while. I’m also looking forward to slowing down a bit this summer though. I DO have a huge thing happening over here in just a couple weeks. I can’t wait to tell you more but I’m going to wait. So I won’t jinx it? I dont know…You’ll see.
Thanks for reading, friends!
