Happy Tuesday yall! The girls got out of school last week and we’ve been enjoying the slow days spending time with friends and family. It’s been great. **this post contains affiliate links.

This week I’m joining with lots of amazing home-loving bloggers to bring you the “Something Different Summer Tour”. We all have different styles and that’s what makes it great…a little bit of everything.
I thought I’d share a few spaces with you this week and then make sure to come back next week for before and afters of the projects we’ve tackled in our one year of living in our sweet house.

First up is our dining room. I moved this door in here after we spent 47 hours stripping it down and then decided it wouldn’t work where we needed it…ughhhhh… I love the scale of it on this wall. I hung the artwork behind it to fill in the window. I’m sure it won’t stay like this but it was like a consolation prize for all of that hard work.
I love to keep things simple. My Gran’s floral mug sits on the table with a peony candle from Trader Joe’s inside. And I changed my letter board. Summertime, we’re ready for you. Also, kitchen, I have my sights set on you. Don’t get too comfortable..
Our reading room, completed in May for the One Room Challenge is ready for the hours of book reading I hope to enjoy over the next couple of months.

It’s so dreamy in here. We’re so thankful for such a great space.
In the living room I brought out the lighter and brighter pillows..
and refreshed the mantel.
Multiple plants up high are courtesy of our plant-playing, frisky kitten Pip Squeak.

Our closet turned mud room is backpack free and now holds towels, wet bathing suits and lots of sunscreen.

The only other space that is newly refreshed is our bedroom. A last ago my sweet friend helped me paint an accent wall. It’s Sherwin Williams “warm stone” which is the prettiest greyish brown. I love the cozy warmth it adds to the room.
Besides the purchase of the paint, I used what we already had. It’s a pretty big difference for $15 (thank you very much Memorial Day paint rebate).

That’s about it over here! Thanks so much for stopping by. Make sure and check out all the talent joining in on this tour. I’m so excited to see them all, myself.
Like I said, we’ve lived here a year and next week I’ll be showing the befores and afters (or for nows) of the spaces we’ve worked on. It’s been an awesome year.
Thanks for reading, friends!
